I would settle for ANY fucking accountability at this point. If an unwarranted killing by a police officer meant they could never again serve as police or any kind of security officer in the US that would be a giant in leap forward.

We need to get beyond traffic stops for the most part. Gather the evidence (video, personal log, eye witness accounts) and then mail someone their ticket.
Are their faces military grade?
I was thinking of a custom “Free Bullets with Every Forced Entry” sign.
If you mean a “National ID” then Republicans have been against that for reasons of “freedom” and some stupid Bible reference.
If you mean why do Americans have such hard times acquiring an ID? Well, that’s by design, because a very powerful minority hate democracy. There’s probably millions of people that live over an hour away from the nearest ID issuing office and/or their closest office is open only a few hours a week (yes, per week). There’s also plenty of instances of people being unable to sufficiently “prove” they are who they say they are because they don’t have their own birth certificate and can’t afford to buy it.
We’re barely even a Republic anymore and we were probably never a Democracy.
30% of Americans who weren’t alive in the 1930s think we should have 1930s government and a 1930s economy.
It’s one thing if we were gonna slash government jobs and outsource to private entities for pennies on the dollar. We’re not doing that though. We’re snatching the government-issued parachutes off people’s backs and shouting, “The Free Market will save you!” just before we kick them out of the plane.
Got a feeling most of the developed world is gonna miss this one.
I don’t know why.
Someone should put up Trump’s picture and all of his crimes with the heading “AT LARGE”.
Because private equity would never use the opportunity to buy up all the extra units, further controlling the market, and ensuring their existing inventory doesn’t suddenly tank in value. /s
At work I was recently told to watch a “training video” about AI that was made entirely with AI. Nobody seemed to get the irony of a video, made for humans, more or less made by an AI, on why you should use a different AI (we don’t have access to the video making tools). We’re basically gaslighting ourselves.
Fortunately/unfortunately well so far. Very few have died from this so, like COVID, they’ll probably feel justified that they were either stuck at home for a week or in the hospital only a few days and completely avoided that “dangerous shot”.
Or existed.
edit: missing context. not referring to the children at all.
The government’s coming right at me!
Because increasing penalties for stealing doesn’t make people less desperate.
And we all know the rich don’t pay taxes so…
The rich and powerful suffering in kind for all the suffering they’ve caused should be the norm. When it’s the exception, not the rule, I savor every moment as it’s much too fleeting.
You can pull your kid out of school and teach them yourself. Otherwise fuck off.
I don’t have a problem with AI in filmmaking but I’d have a problem if AI actors were suddenly winning awards in the acting category.
And how much do US citizens cost TX hospitals? I’m willing to bet, proportionally, citizens are a greater cost because we also have bad rates of being insured and citizens aren’t so worried about getting arrested by ICE as they exit the ER.
