15 days agoLast heard (a few months ago) the cost is in storage. The protocol isn’t too complicated now, but it generates a shit ton of data, and IIRC you need a minimum of 3 copies.

I’m thinking it was Oumuamua in 2017. It actually hit us, destroyed the planet, and we’ve been in hell ever since. Nicely coincides with Trump 1.0 because why the fuck not.
