Did you actually play the game? Because if you watched the ending you’d see that it was absolutely was NOT supposed to be HL3. Instead it was setting up HL3…not that I believe this rumor. Not until it’s actually announced.

Before the Storm? Yea that one was really good too. I never played any of the other games though. They never looked as good. Also i heard the newest one was dogshit.

And the best part is that this game is good no matter what. Older straight white dude? No problem. Still fun and interesting. It shows how well done it was.

The first life is strange game. I suppose there is technically a violent part but it’s not a game based on violence.

Huh? Witcher 2 was primarily focused on Geralt looking for Yennifer. Are you mixing up names?

The books are canon for the games, yes. The games are not canon. Idk what else to say. I played W2 and 3 originally without having read the books. It didn’t seem weird in W3 because W2 was spent looking for her the entire game. And it gave clues about their history. After having read the books W3 makes even more sense since I understood more about the characters. There is nothing unreasonable about how they did that game. The game is totally fine without having read the books. But I am telling you that it makes more sense if you did.

I mean… The game has numerous book references. It expects you to have read then. Half the characters and references are from the books. So not sure why it’s the yen part that specifically bugs you :-)

The whole triss vs yen thing was lazy fanservice added by CDPR. If you read the books, it’s clear Geralt is destined to be with Yen. The books make this abundantly clear. It also makes it crystal clear that Geralt thinks of Triss like a little sister, not romantically. There was absolutely no reason to have that in the book. It’s straight up stupid fanservice and made the game into kind of a meme in my opinion.

2 observations:

1. Wow I didn’t think hexbear was that large. That’s unfortunate…

2. The fact that Lemmyworld is like 40% of the pie is NOT good. People are clearly not understanding or not caring thay the point of the fediverse is to prevent any one instance from having too much power. People need to leave lemmy world and join other smaller instances. If lemmy world were to shut down, imagine how many of the most popular communities would be gone.
