I think some things are very necessary for medium or bigger companies:
Dynamic Drill Tables, stackup in the spec layer and DRC import export NOT importing from other projects (and not the “DRC file” thing that does not transfer back into the GUI)
Fonts
Technical assembly drawing exports
I use it weekly in my own time, but it is difficult to get everyone “synced” on it.
Freecad can’t keep up with professional software with decades of paid development, sadly. It has gone very fast these past 2-3 years compared to being relatively slow before that, but now the SaaS company supporting them is bankrupt so who knows.
KiCAD on the other hand, is like 50% or more of the way there to match commercial offerings and is mostly missing QoL and productivity features
Do you happen to know when the last time was that a rich company was prosecuted for this?
It seems a lot like the perjury laws: there to scare poor people into telling the truth because of almost non-existant prosecution of it.
And if it is a fine and not jail time (white collar crimes are almost never jail time) the fine would have to be much larger than the penalties they would not have to pay because of the crime, otherwise it is simply a net win for the company
I don’t understand the usecase for tuta and proton. Their “automatic encryption” only works for people also with those providers if I am not mistaken, otherwise it just uses the same method as PGP (password that you have to send the recipient).
It seems to me that for 99.9% of emails going through the account, it is not any more secure that other providers like mailbox, posteo, nubo, etc…
Maybe I am understanding them incorrectly though.

It uses standards instead of a proprietary app like proton/tuta so you can simply add it to almost any mail client.
I mean, it isn’t as thick as normal toothpaste, and the taste is different (like every brand switch of toothpaste to be honest), but they got a new formula for much much harder tablets in the beginning of 2025 more like real mints, so they don’t get powdery or fall apart like they sometimes used to.
It doesn’t sit on your teeth as much after you spit before you rinse, I find, but sometimes you get tiny grits in the molars from chewing them if you don’t brush them out well enough.
I find it completely fine, just took a few uses to get used to.
I kind of agree. I use accubattery on my phone since I got it so I know more or less how much I have used to charge it.
1526593mAh over almost 4 years. If we assume 3.9V charge voltage (about average between CV/CC and I only charge it to 80%), then it is a bit under 6kWh consumed, which is under 2€ with our high electricity prices here.
It uses literally a rounding error of power over its entire lifespan.
However, having a standard way to test battery life and battery cycle longevity in phones would be very helpful, but I am 99% sure it would be an unrepresentative test that manufacturers would start gaming within a year or two to have very skewed results.

They are as expensive as the more expensive toothpaste because you can’t stretch them out by just using less since you need 1 tablet, but they have 0 plastic packaging, the tablets are amazing for camping, they have 2 sizes of glass containers and the refills are just in paper and cardboard, they have actual reasonable subscription delivery periods and amounts, and they have versions with charcoal of that’s your thing.

Me too, the problem is, there is no way to judge quality effectively until you wear the clothes for a long time.
Just because it is made here in the EU, doesn’t mean it is good quality. Tons of shit quality at a high price things exist.
For example couches. There are plenty of 5000€ couches that sink and degrade as fast or faster than ikea 500€ couches. It is a crapshoot for finding actual good quality like couches used to be.

They are comfy pillows on your head. Significantly more comfortable than any gaming headset I have ever seen.
They have gamic headsets that wipe the floor with steelseries or similar. Or you can get one of their audio focused headsets.
Then just get a standing mic (way way way way better audio than headset boom mics)
Or do what I did before getting a standing mic and just get a replacement microphone for a standard gaming headset and a male to male or male to female aux cable with zip ties.
Behringer, t.bone, JTS, turtle beach (what I used, american company though), etc…
Or a modmic alternative like the audiotechnica ATGM2 or a lavalier mic (sennheiser has one), etc…
Bonus is you get a ridiculous higher audio quality for gaming, movies, and music.

I think one difference is that men often have no support structures at all, and certainly not with levels of physical or emotional connection. They aren’t just craving sex, they are craving human intimacy and connection where it is very normalized in the west among women to have emotional and physical platonic intimacy among friend support groups.

Every single European distributor’s website is utter chaos garbage as far as finding new components that fit within criteria (and have bad filters). RS and TME just don’t have many more specialized ICs (ECG AFEs, sensor hubs, PPG chips, hell, the STM (european) selection of mems sensors at TME is just flat out bad bad), and Farnell doesn’t sell to individuals, and also has a much smaller stock. So instead of paying shipping once at a distributer, we have to pay shipping 3, 4, 5 times for the same parts.
This isn’t even going into trying to have an alternative for McMaster Carr, Misume is pretty bad in comparison as far as UX and selection.
But I am already thankful that we have the alternatives we do.
