Damn, must be nice to have enough working memory to do this! 😁
Neat idea, though, I’m sure many people can use this.

I’d say the line is from knowing the person. It’s one thing if someone isn’t listening, it’s another if they get distracted.
Nerotypicals do it too, just not as much.
When it happens to me, I’m honest and open about it “I’m really Slsorry, I just spaced out for a minute, would you mind repeating that?”
Sometimes I’ll ask them to repeat because I’m “not getting it”, which isn’t a lie.
Listen boss, having me look at a camera is the surest way for me to NOT pay attention.
Now, if I work on something while you NTs ear rape me with your voice vomit, I’ll actually hear the important bits.
My primary care doctor picked up on it in my late 20’s. It was impressive - I think he suspected, so asked 3 questions/statements about my behaviour as a kid and teenager, things that nobody, not my parents, siblings or friends knew. They were formed as “you did X, Y, Z, as a teen, didn’t you?”.
They were questions regarding self control and specific drug use. In particular, he said “you did come coke as a teen, and you felt it calmed you down”. Mind. Blown.
The medical world has a fundamental misunderstanding of cholesterol, it’s sources, and effects.
I strongly recommend looking into current research on cholesterol. I first read a paper by a biochemist in the early 90’s showing the conventional paradigm of cholesterol was incorrect. There’s been a lot of research since then, supporting his work.
Three things I can note from current research: cholesterol levels are largely genetically determined (though can be strongly influenced with diet in some people), cholesterol plaques in the blood stream are starting to seem to be a result of arterial damage and not the cause, and it’s starting to become clear that glucose instability is a major cause of this arterial damage.
Sorry I don’t have a source at hand, I’ll look through my notes and see if I can find some. But there’s a lot of research into this in the last 15 years.
This all started 15+ years ago.
I vaguely recall this transition with a Call of Duty game, when you could no longer host your own, for a game where that really wasn’t necessary, unlike MMORPG.
And today with the high bandwidth home connections, hardware capability, or even just using a VPS, you could still host with appropriate performance.
Hell, using consumer grade, free tools (handbrake) I can convert a DVD to mkv and reduce the file size upwards of 75%, and still be perfectly viewable on a current 65" TV.
I can only imagine the capabilities of Google/YouTube. It would be fascinating to see a high level diagram of how they handle a video.
Nah, your partner started the whole thing by belittling your needs. Full stop.
Move on, don’t waste your time with someone this selfish. You may not be perfect, but by God, your partner thinks it’s always all about them.
Uggh, that’ll be a tough one to prove (though I’m sure they knew). Pharma is really good at hiding info from themselves.
Oh, shit, you’re right - exactly what I do.
It’s why OneNote has been a blessing/curse for me.
