To further muddy the water we had Baldur’s Gate 3, which was made by an independent studio with AAA budget.

I used to have a Linux keyboard (with Tux instead of the Windows logo on super) with dedicated copy and paste keys. As far as I recall I never used them.
I recently recommended the game to my wife and since then she tells me every day what her progress is and what she hates about the game and how tedious it is and how bad and inconsistent the controls are. And then she’s off to play more.
Clair Obscur:
Irgendwann muss die CDU ja auch mal Realpolitik machen.
Diese Realität hat anscheinend doch Humor.
Wie wäre es, wenn wir ihnen gleich die Existenz streichen?
If I paid so much money it better game the shit out of games. But I honestly doubt ARM can with the overhead of emulation. And they don’t even specify what kind of nvidia graphics it has. This tells me that the system isn’t really meant to be used for gaming.
When I played Day of the Tentacle I got stuck. Eventually I caved in and ordered the official hint book. Mind you, back then this entailed mailing a physical letter and the money somewhere. I guess my parents helped with that. And then you had to wait for your order to arrive. And the post was a lot slower than today.
I waited weeks for the book to arrive. And then, the day before it came, I finished the game. Use physics book with horse was the last puzzle I needed.
But the money wasn’t wasted entirely. The game’s story was written down from the pov of one of the characters. Pretty funny.
Unreal. I stopped playing when I couldn’t find the exit.
Edit: But to be honest that was kind of the norm back then. I hated Half Life for popularising the more linear level design.
I wish there was some universal standard for tagging files that would stay with the files. I have them in so many devices and all of them would benefit from the improved search.
I guess stuffing it into the filename is the only way. Of course that messes with stuff that needs a specific filename.
Well, let’s hope we’re about to see that. My guess is mass protests all over Germany and even more massive counter protests right next to them.
Usually after losing a world war.
True, but then again we have lived through that already and know that dangerous parties can be elected democratically. That is exactly the reason why we have this mechanism in place.
An anti democratic party has no right to be elected democratically.
To the surprise of absolutely no one.
Warum konnten CDU und SPD nicht einfach Merkel und Schröder tauschen? Hätte viel besser gepasst. Hätte die SPD nicht wählbar gemacht. Aber besser.
Not only that, you can use the programs from one desktop environment in the other one. Really confused me the first time I used Linux because it had installed both Gnome and KDE and I was wondering why I had two of almost every type of app. But I really liked Gnome’s Solitaire.
Woohoo, some hacker kid is about to install Sober and Prism and will be the hero for everyone.
My kid’s elementary school has a computer club handling all the PCs. The other day they were surprised to hear that the PCs they were playing GCompris, Ktuberling, Pingus, Super Tux, Tuxpaint and Tux Kart on are running Linux.
Bazzite is probably the best Linux distribution for this purpose. It’s practically made for it. In terms of hardware, get an AMD GPU. Intel might also be ok, but they are pretty new so might have hidden caveats.
CPU, whatever you can afford I guess.
Do you have a budget?
