I have to give credit where credit is due: kudos to the influencer for removing their post, and to Anik for taking a face-to-face call and have an honest discussion. Even more kudos for doing a complete about face. It takes extreme courage – especially in this day and age – to admit you’re wrong and/or change your mind.
For me it’s real simple: I talk to my kids about drug use and its negative impact on their growing minds and bodies. Like any growing organism, they need good food, fresh air, plenty of water, and exercise. Smoking, drinking, and drugs do not provide any of that, and all I ask of them is to wait until they are older.

I am dismissive of the idea that the US wants to “buy” Greenland or annex Canada as the 51st state, but I do not dismiss the global threat the US has become (e.g. Ukraine and Gaza come to mind) to the rest of the world.
