When reports started coming out about Israel making no effort to limit collateral casualties of women and children, I thought I had seen the worst that humanity had to offer. I still think that but this dude is the embodiment of a monster. He deserves to be stabbed as many, or more, times as he did to that child. My son is 5.5yo. I can only imagine the amount of rage this family and the whole of Palestine feels. I can only hope they can find some peace again.

You and I are in similar boats, except I only gave Windows 11 a single install on my personal gaming rig before going back to 10. With the threat of 10 going EoL, I’ll be forced to move to Linux soon, myself. After working in PC and Windows troubleshooting for over 20-years all my foyers into Linux have been met with self-imposed damage resulting in an abandoment of Linux. This happened with spare computers or server setups since Windows Vista.

I’m nervous about the future of my gaming addiction, but will not use Windows 11.

The journalist on the Signal chat looked like incompetence, but I think it was Mike trying to shed light on their clear Records Act violations by using Signal for official communications. Then the press happens to photograph his use of a third-party Signal app that allows archiving, something Signal doesn’t natively have.

If we stop seeing these big meeting leaks, such as the scuffles between Rubio and Musk, and big scandal topics, then we’ll have it possible answer.

Considering Israel is said to be using such generative AI tools to select targets in Gaza kind of already shows this happening. The fact so many companies are going balls-deep on AI, using it to replace human labor and find patterns to target special groups, is deeply concerning. I wouldn’t put it past the tRump administration to be using AI to select programs to nix, people to target with deportation, and write EOs.

Could it be that Mike was the insider that was leaking stuff to the media and this archiveable version of Signal is to be able to prove and/or keep Signal conversations that would otherwise be removed from the official app? I mean, just them using Signal is a violation of the Records Act, no, due to the ability to remove entire chats after a period of time? Everyone thinks he’s incompetent or dumb, but he may have added that reporter on purpose to expose their use of Signal in the first place and he’s using this unofficial version to save chats we would otherwise not have record of. If the insider info stops now, we’ll know why.
