Pope Francis, a voice for the poor who overcame fierce resistance to reshape the Catholic Church, has died on Easter Monday, at the age of 88, the Vatican has announced.
Sure, in comparison Francis was more of a “voice of the poor” than Ratzinger. Yet it’s a bold statement, and “transformed the church” is still a blatant lie. I doubt a pope alone has that much power if the rest of the clergy doesn’t want to transform.
This stuff is always on a scale, this Pope was a lot better than Ratzinger.
