In the case of Tesla, I think “eek” out a profit is acceptable. Because it’s scary what it is paying for.
I may be misunderstanding, but don’t they have to sell cars to have the carbon credits to sell? So tanked sales = fewer credits.
Tesla understood the Achilles’ heel of EVs and got to fucking work on building out a charging network. This is a strong moat.
Textbook example of “The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.”
One thing that must be made clear to casual observers is that the Tesla stock price is still batshit crazy high.
Earnings report is really bad … stock price surges! Make it make sense.
Yeah, sucks that the good charging network is theirs, so they’ll continue to collect even if people buy other EVs.

I’m just waiting to be able to download a house.
Yeah no shit, because mass shooters generally don’t survive their attacks.
Enough do survive that there is plenty basis for comparison.
All he had to do was shut his fucking mouth. Tesla sells a competitively-price product and has a strong moat with their charging network. He is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, all because he doesn’t know how to STFU.

Wow that takes me back
I don’t know what games other commenter has, but my understanding is that there are a lot of issues with anti-cheat software not working properly with Linux.
Although I don’t really have a direct interest in buying a Steam deck, I’m hoping that its popularity helps push for games to be more Linux-friendly.
You’re not going to get “improvements” in Windows, that should be clear by now.
This is the crux of the issue. Holding out for improvements … that aren’t coming.
I have Windows 11 and am unlikely to change this computer (though who knows), however I absolutely plan on my next build being Linux. I might start tinkering around in a VM.

Sex tourism. I’m not implying anything outright illicit here, rather the exploitation of financial inequality of wealthy vs developing nations.
The rule of thumb I use is that you shouldn’t use adjectives as nouns when talking about people. The adjective needs a noun to describe.
I think that ship has long sailed.
Imagine forfeiting such a strong moat.
