if it’s controlling something like a CNC machine I can see why you wouldn’t wanna fuck with it, but there’s probably computers in other roles that could go linux. start with a raspi and get familiar with things. you can get one for $15

I strongly recommend to people to try linux on an old laptop because that’s something most people can do even if they still need windows for something

It’s pretty clear that young people are an oppressed class and oppression of them is being used as a wedged to hurt everyone else by extension. We have to fight for the rights of everyone including the young or we’ll lose everything

If this happens to too many people the economy will suffer. Eventually they’ll have to start ignoring credit scores. We’re rapidly reaching a point where the system can no longer compensate for the incompetencies and inequality and stuff will start breaking mechanically in ways that can’t be easily fixed or routed around

It seems like we have a problem where there’s too much money at the top of society that’s trying to chase returns that can’t exist because there’s enough money at the bottom to buy products, so it just gets invested in bad ways. This will probably continue until they waste enough for their own money on bullshit that they no longer have it
