Disappointed but not surprised that the sexual assailant in this article has not been charged with anything yet, let alone sexual assault…

Calling someone a creep for not matching your gender appearance expectations, as at least one of the women in line for the bathroom did to this lady, is also arguably sexual harassment. But nobody’s going to bring any consequences against the woman that did that. Typical cis woman weaponizing false victimhood and then disappearing into the background with zero consequences and possibly zero self reflection.

We should all misgender every MAGAt male who enters the men’s bathroom. And tell them that pussies are not allowed in there.

Security asked for ID so at least that was clickbait. Apparently this happened WHILE they were inside the stall btw.

Security literally started banging on the door full force demanding they open it while people are doing their business.

If someone confronts you in a hateful way about your gender like this, maybe you suddenly become afraid for your safety (valid!) and spray them in the face with pepper spray.

When people ask what happens say you became afraid the stranger was trying to hurt you and put your body under threat because they were.

Better to just carry a gun and asking questions later. Make sure they know why they were killed before they die. Tell them to their face as they lay dying. “You die because you’re a sack of shit.”

No judgement to anyone, but I think pepper spray is a better option here because bigots want you to be a threat which makes resisting hard because resistance can be so easily propagandized as a violent threat.

If you spray someone in the face with pepper spray, well… it is much harder to make the argument you are a violent threat vs. that person was being a fucking creep and making you feel uncomfortable because you were alone with a stranger in a bathroom being accosted about details of your gender and body that have NOTHING to do with them.

It is 2025, I am not going to judge trans people or other vulnerable groups for taking their safety into their own hands, just be mindful of how you do it and consider how you can subvert the toxic attempt to narrativize your actions as evil.

A man barging into a private room with you alone. That alone is a threat of bodily harm and depending on the state. You are within your rights to consider it a lethal threat and can stand your ground. I suggest shooting the head or heart. Don’t injure. Shoot to kill. Just my opinion on clowns coming after people to prove their sex.

Look at this point if I see someone giving a trans/queer coded person shit/hurting them/threatening to hurt them I am going to assume my job is to get as many nearby people to notice and shut that shit down by sheer force of normal people crowding out the couple violent fascist assholes because they can’t do anything to a quickly growing crowd of angry normal people…

…so I am really not interested in judging queer people too hard on any reaction they have right now as a cisgender hetero white dude.

I am so mad, I think I could honestly convince most normal people to intervene with their bodies in a situation like that if there were enough people around, anti-trans beliefs aren’t that popular and most normal people are fucking tired of it and just want politicians to make their lives materially better and the more they hear about rightwing gender bullshit violence thinly veiled as pseudo-science the more creeped out they get about the weird obsessions of the rightwing that motivates these pathetic vessels of hate.

The problem of course, and what we are talking about, is when nobody but a queer coded person and a fascist are around, and I have no grounds to pass any judgement in how queer people choose to respond in that space.

A gun is not an appropriate solution to this, non lethal response is a better solution, and will provide you MUCH better protection in court afterwards. Murder\Manslaughter charges can fuck you over very easily, even if you THINK you are defending yourself.

And before anyone thinks I’m anti-gun. I have a CC license and I have hunted for 30+ years.

History has shown us that if a man wants to go into a women’s bathroom to harass or assault women, he doesn’t usually get all disguised to do it.

I don’t see what the big deal is about bathrooms. I have been to bars and nightclubs and even gas stations where there is no gender assigned to the bathrooms. You have stalls and you have urinals. Anyone who only wants to pee and can do so standing up, uses the urinal. Anyone who needs to poop or wants to sit down while they pee uses the stalls. No one touches anyone else without permission and staring at anyone else’s crotch in the bathroom is creepy. I know men are creepy but I would argue that they will behave themselves better when there is more traffic in and out of the bathroom. Hanging a sign that restricts gender won’t keep a creep from lurking in there anyway.

I once drunkenly wandered into the women’s restroom at a bar, took my piss after I couldn’t find the urinals, got all the way to the washing my hands phase, me and a lady who was also minding her business locked eyes while she also washed her hands, we both triple took, then I said “ooops I’m not supposed to be here” then we both just cackled, and went about our business.

That’s the end of the story, no one was upset, no one was assaulted, no one gave a single fuck and we both had a good laugh.

That’s just it, these pricks who keep throwing a fit about who uses which bathroom are really much more interested in hating transgender people than they are about protecting anyone. You can point out stats about who is actually assaulting who and how it’s happening, and it won’t change a thing, because protection was never the point.

        The cruelty is the point.

It’s the same reason why there’s suddenly a big deal about women’s sports.
It’s not about protecting women at all, since it now leads to men policing those spaces and basically demanding from women that they drop their panties to prove their sex.

And that is the actual goal, to invade women’s spaces and bodies.

Very location dependent. I’ve no issue with trans women in the women’s bathrooms but I don’t want men in the women’s bathrooms everywhere. Clubs, parties, homes, work office even, but mostly anonymous quiet public bathrooms, no. And it’s about walking in and a man or group of men being in there already, plus being followed in.

This attitude doesn’t make any sense.

If you don’t want groups of men in the womens’ toilets then why would you support a system that would force Trans men to use womens’ toilets on a mandatory basis?

“it’s about walking in and a man or group of men being in there already, plus being followed in.” A sign won’t prevent that. The sign will only prevent men who care about rules and social norms from going in there. The kind of men that we all need to worry about, don’t care about such things.

“For gender nonconforming, lesbians, women in general, being harassed in public restrooms is a tale as old as time. I do think the surge in national anti-trans rhetoric is contributing to an increased policing of women’s bodies and their expression of gender,” Selvaggio said.

And yet, terfs will blame trans folks for this trend, instead of the anti-trans culture they themselves contribute to.

Yup, the terfs in line couldn’t imagine a woman exists who didn’t look like their version of a woman to them since she didn’t follow every trend of what “being a woman” should look like based on social media, most likely.

Baker was born a woman and identifies as a woman. But, she said she was escorted out of the restroom and then comments were directed at her from other women waiting in line.

“Someone said, ‘Get him out of here,’ referring to me. ‘He’s a creep,’ also referring to me,” Baker said.
