I don’t shop much but the stuff I’ve bought lately have been European brands and manufacturing. They are pricier than the imports alternatives but better quality so I’m sort of grateful for the opportunity to go for a little better, a little pricier without anxiety about numbers.

I don’t buy much clothes but I’m in need to order some new ones. Zalando was great because of the vast selection of brands - despite them making it harder to filter on environmentally better options already several years ago. Now I don’t want to use them any more. Any suggestions for good, ethical and preferably environmentally friendly online stores for Sweden/EU?

Some preemptive advice if you’re in the market of integrating TTS for some customer or service:

Do not ever use any “humanisation” tweaks. Having a computer voice stumble on a word or fucking cough is uncanny valley and how to make people feel manipulated in one simple trick.

Just don’t. Everybody hates it.

Another twenty plus years Linux server and devices admin and user that found last year that Linux is finally mature and stable enough to replace my desktop too without having the fiddle with it every once in a random update. It was a decision that I can accept making workarounds for legacy windows software and l can live without other eco system. Yeah, there are plenty of reasons that people are still running Windows and keep doing so.

Don’t make being user of an operating system your identity, people. It’s just as annoying and unnecessary as those Apple fanboys we all know and dislike.

I have an Asustor that is running Debian. It’s just a PC in a NAS enclosure so why should it not.

Because people know Firefox by name and it is good enough for most people. It is better that they use Firefox than not. Mozilla is way more trustworthy than both Google and Microsoft. Not everybody needs to get The Best©® by Nerd Standards™.

“Köp europeiskt” in Swedish, alternatively “Handla europeiskt” that sounds more sophisticated, but technically “handel” encompasses all aspects of trade (buying, selling and trading) while “köpa” is exclusively the acts of buying.

I switched from Spotify to Tidal last year because the CEO was an arse. My experience with Tidal is a bit hit and miss. At least I got it working ok on my Linux laptop and headless on my media server. How’s is Qobuz on these fronts?
